Our outpatient service is the starting point for most patients at RKA Specialist Hospital. Clinical officers assess, diagnose and treat common conditions, order further tests where needed, and refer complicated cases on to the right specialist — all on a 24-hour outpatient basis with no admission required.
What our outpatient team does
- Taking patients' medical histories and performing physical examinations
- Diagnosing common diseases and medical conditions
- Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and other investigations
- Prescribing and administering appropriate medicines and treatments within scope of practice
- Providing emergency and first-aid care, and stabilizing critically ill patients
- Performing minor medical or surgical procedures where authorized
- Monitoring patients and evaluating their response to treatment
- Referring complicated or severe cases to doctors, specialists, or higher-level facilities
- Providing health education, counseling, preventive care, and advice on healthy lifestyles
- Maintaining accurate patient records and preparing clinical reports
- Participating in disease prevention, surveillance, immunization, and public-health programs
- Working with nurses, doctors, laboratory staff, pharmacists, and other professionals for coordinated care
